SoF was the first time Jagex has allowed the ability to purchase in-game advantages with real-world money. The tale begins with the Squeal of Fortune (SoF), which provided spins on a wheel to players daily for a chance to win prizes, including experience (XP) lamps and coins. RS3 has been infamous in the Runescape community for microtransactions and various Pay-2-win schemes since the 2nd April 2012. This rendition is a modern spin on a classic tutorial iconic to Runescape. It was in late 2018 that RS3 finally saw the return of an old classic tutorial island. The island was a former school for adventures and had become cursed and sunken under the sea (Beneath Cursed Tides). It wouldn’t be until three years later, on the 14th of December 2015, that they explained why the island vanished during the Beneath Cursed Tides quest. With Tutorial island being removed from the map on the 28th November in that same year. In 2012 with the release of the evolution of combat, the Ashdale Tutorial came into the game (Ashdale Tutorial). Before yet another tutorial replaced it once again in 2009 (Unstable Foundations). In 2008 the island tutorial was replaced by the quest Learning the Ropes (Learning the Ropes - The RuneScape Wiki), and then a year later was temporarily reinstated. On the other hand, most of the lifespan of RS3 Tutorial Island did not exist. Once a player leaves this area, they can never return. It is a simple and effective way of leading new players from task to task before they are teleported to Lumbridge and left on their own to forge their path. OSRS has this introduction to the game, teaching you the basics of skilling and combat and quests and navigating the interface. So, for example, to get a complete party hat set, you need only spend between 20-25k. So in the seasonal events, you get access to the previous tradeable rewards regardless of what year it is. On the other hand, when OSRS came out in 2013, Jagex wanted to ensure they didn’t have rare items like RS3. This is also the case for all other tradeable rare items released via other seasonal events and canned updates. Learn more about these here: Discontinued rare items | RuneScape Wiki | Fandom. The point is that these items constantly fluctuate as the demand for them grows, but their number is finite. With six party hats to choose from (white, blue, red, green, yellow, and purple) that will set you back close to thirteen Billion GP, but what if I told you they go for much more than that on the forums? If you want any set of party hats dropped during the 2001 Christmas event, you can try and buy them in the GE each at a max cash stack (2,147m). In RS3, Jagex never intended for rare items to exist in a way that would be worth billions of GP two decades after they were dropped in a seasonal event. ![]() One of the most apparent differences between OSRS and RS3 is the implementation of rare items. The current prices for party hats listed on the OSRS and RS3 wikis. Luckily, after discovering an old 2007 backup server, the old school game was released to the public in early 2013. In addition, Jagex was under pressure with the rise of RS private servers and people demanding a reversal on the major combat update. Old School RuneScape was born from a nostalgic group of players and long-time game lovers who did not like the new combat system. Then later, the full-release of an RS3 client on the 22nd July 2013. Arguably this began with the introduction of the Evolution of Combat, WOW-style abilities were adopted, and a revamp of equipment and the combat triangle in 2012. Today we will be discussing these two versions of the game to explain the top 10 differences between them. Two versions of the game exist RuneScape (also known as RS3) and Old School RuneScape (also known as OSRS). The results from this saw the emergence of several different ‘spin-offs’ from the original game. RuneScape has been around since the 4th of January 2001, and in its 20-year history, the game has had several eras of development. ![]()

![]() ANDY CHUCKY NOW SERIESIt's the best franchise-based horror series since Hannibal. It makes for a fascinating blend that allows for the unexpected to unfold with every chapter, and it’s must-see television. Properly tuned sensibilities will have you smiling and laughing along with Chucky during his giddy, blood-soaked rampages, and the show is regularly quite witty and funny – but it’s also a series with a deep capacity to shock as Charles Lee Ray bolsters his reputation as a habitual line stepper who really doesn’t care who he is killing so long as he is killing. There is a wonderful cast of characters featured in the terrorized town of Hackensack, New Jersey – the trio of leads played the talented Zackary Arthur, Bjorgvin Arnarson, and Alyvia Alyn Lind –and there is unquestionably some of the best horror content that you’ll find on the small screen right now. I’ve been attempting to be cute in this feature explaining why the stars are presently perfectly aligned for audiences to start getting into Chucky, but there is one larger reason to do so independent of recent news, other pop culture developments, or anniversaries: it’s a great show, and great shows deserve to be watched. ANDY CHUCKY NOW TV(Image credit: SYFY) There Is Never A Bad Time To Start Watching A Crazy Gory, Super Funny, And Ridiculously Entertaining TV Series The impressiveness of that alone should inspire any pop culture fan to check it out. Believing the doll to be dead, Andy walks away and looks for his mother. It goes to some extreme and amazing lengths to fortify the continuity of the franchise, the best being the fact that Alex Vincent is still playing Andy Barclay, Chucky’s true nemesis, three-and-a-half decades after first portraying the character as a six-year-old in Child’s Play. Andy picks up the knife and stabs Chucky in the chest straight through his power core. The Chucky show is very accessible for audiences not overly familiar with the seven movies that preceded it – as it introduces its own new ensemble of protagonists for the eponymous killer to terrorize – but one of the most impressive things that creator Don Mancini has done with the series is make it deeply faithful to the larger canon. The fifth episode of 'Chucky' Season 2 gave us the surprise return of Andy Barclay, who we last saw supposedly careening to his death over a cliff in a death trap filled with vengeful Chuckys. The original Child’s Play first hit theaters in November 1988, and the Chucky TV series is notably an amazing celebration of everything that film spurred on. an encoded e-mail from an old college friend now working for the CIA. ![]() ANDY CHUCKY NOW SERIALIf you’ve simply been waiting for any general excuse to dive into the world of Chucky, here’s one to chew on: this year marks a special birthday for serial killer Charles Lee Ray, as it was 35 years ago that the Brad Dourif character evaded police pursuit by transferring his soul into a Good Guy doll. Over there, wearing red lipstick was encouraged for upper-class women, as women who didn't wear makeup were seen as peasants and prostitutes.Īs the 1700s turned into the 1800s, though, distaste for red lipstick only grew in British Parliament and royalty, with Queen Victoria proclaiming that wearing red lipstick was impolite, and so it became entirely unfashionable in the little ol' United Kingdom. However, as is always the case, rich people in France were too busy having sex in the 1700s to really care about witchcraft. Heavier cosmetics, such as red lipstick, were really only for women of the night. In the years following her death, wearing very bright red lipstick was viewed with disgust in England and Ireland, and applying it in public was even worse.Īccording to the Toast, by 1770, British Parliament officially declared that women who wore bright lipstick and seduced men by flaunting it would have their marriages annulled and also be accused of witchcraft. In the 1700s and 1800s, red lipstick meant you were a witch and an unworthy whore, basically.Īfter that whole saga with Queen Elizabeth I, red lipstick waned in favor due to Europeans associating it with questionable morals. When she died, she reportedly had multiple layers of the stuff on her lips. The lipstick that Elizabeth wore every single day is widely rumored to be what ended up killing her, because it contained white lead. Then, probably due to her perennially youthful appearance (save for when she wiped off all the makeup, probably), medieval Europeans started to believe that red lipstick could ward off death. So popular, in fact, that Queen Elizabeth I, who was already known for her love of cosmetics, added rouged lips to her signature look, in addition to caking her face with white powder. Thankfully, by the 16th century, the process of making (and wearing) red lipstick had gotten safer, with regions across England finally realizing that, hey, maybe we can make this stuff out of natural shit instead of toxic chemicals? Once they did just that, by creating red lipstick made with herbal and plant-based dyes, red lipstick started to become more popular. Sexy, right? By the 1500s, people started to believe that red lipstick could ward off death - and boy, were they wrong. Oh, and to get a shinier texture, Egyptian people ground up fish scales. In fact, the term "Kiss of Death," according to Elle, was coined during this era because of the highly toxic mixture of fucus-algin, iodine and bromine mannite that was commonly used to make red lipstick. In ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia, both women and men would crush semi-precious stones, with Cleopatra famously crushing up beetles and ants in order to get just the right shade of blood red. In fact, many of the earliest red lipsticks were made of things that could eventually kill you. As the Toast noted, "This was not the last time people were like, 'Check out all this sweet lead! Hey, what if we put it on our mouths oh god I'm dying.'"Īnd this is very true. The first documented lip tint was a red one, and it was made from pulverized red rocks and white lead. thanks to the Sumerian ruler Puabi of Ur, who was frequently depicted with stained lips in the ancient era, according to the Toast.
